About Inflatable Beds
Inflatable beds - or Airbeds - have become more popular throughout the years.
When people talk about inflatable beds, they instantly think of camping beds
or the inflatable li-los that are used in pools. But they have evolved so
much since those basic days. Now you can find inflatable beds that are more
comfortable and more luxurious than your normal bed.
Some smaller inflatable beds are ideal for camping. They can fit in most
bedroom pods of larger tents, and can deflate and be rolled up into a small
and convenient sized pack, making transportation and storage hassle free.
Larger airbeds are designed more for home use than camping. One of the
reasons for this is that they are often too big for the bedroom pod of a
tent. Instead they are popular for the use as guest beds. They can be
either a permanent feature in any room, or can be inflated as and when needed.
Because of their size, the easiest way to inflate these is with an electric
pump. With the aid of one of these, your airbed can be up in seconds. More
extravagant airbeds can sometimes come with in-built pumps. If you can take
your airbed camping, then these are ideal as they come with rechargeable
batteries and have no need to be connected to the mains.
Inflatable beds can be very comfortable to sleep on. Some people prefer
them to the usual spring mattresses, and find it provides their body better
support, aiding bad backs. This is due to it being able to shift with the
contours of your body, however, others find them too soft to have any lasting
affect. They can also benefit allergy sufferers, as they harbour far less
dust than normal mattresses.
They can also, at the end of the day, be deflated again, rolled up and packed
away in a box just a portion of its inflated size. This can then be stored
anywhere, from a cupboard, on top of a wardrobe, or even under your bed,
allowing you to continue without it ever getting in your way.
