Jumpers help to keep you warm when you are either working in the yard or riding your horse. It is important when riding, that you don't become too cold. Being cold limits your body movement and means that you may not be able to have full control of your horse. Wearing the right equestrian clothing can solve this. Like wise if you are too hot.
No one likes being cold. If you go to all the trouble of buying horse rugs to keep your horse warm during those chilly days, then you may as well go the extra length to keep yourself warm at the same time. Investing in some good jumpers and t-shirts is imperative. Even if you have a coat, you can always layer.
If it is too cold for a single turnout rug, some people layer with a second rug. It is the same with jumpers and t-shirts. By layering, you are trapping more warmth against your body, and it helps to keep you much warmer. And if you get too hot, you can remove one layer.
