Tipi / Teepee 4 Man Family Camping Tent
People of all ages can now enjoy the Tipi ( Teepee ) experience. This 4 man Tipi tent measures 3m in diameter and 3m high and weighs 9kg. The circular inside space is very relaxing and offers a fun alternative to camping in an ordinary tent.
Due to a
popular revival of this ancient traditional tent, we are offering 3 sizes of
tipi and they are all flame retardant and UV resistant with taped seams. Tipis
provide warmth and comfort in the winter and coolness in the summer, they can be
packed away quickly and stored
in a matching carry bag.
Your tipi is very easy to erect and detailed instructions are included. The central pole keeps the structure erect to a 3m height with the guy ropes outside to keep the walls flayed out and taught. There is a front and back zip-down door and a strong groundsheet to keep you dry.
Each size tipi has 4 windows and 4 air vents with mosquito nets, the air vents and windows have a ‘curtain’ which can be rolled up and secured with toggles or kept down, the lower air vents also have an outside zip cover which allows ventilation but no light which is excellent for sleep. There are also plenty of air vents at the peak of the roof allowing for moisture to escape.
Tents like this make great camping tents and are ideal for those family camping holidays.
Choosing the Right Tent for You:
Tents come in many different shapes, sizes and styles, from one person designs made to fit a rucksack, to huge twelve berth family tents and party tents. In between there are numerous styles offering excellent head and elbow room, of lightweight materials, and suitable for a variety of locations. It is important to choose the correct equipment for the purpose that you intend to use it. There are various types of tents available, each designed with a particular purpose in mind.
Firstly, you need to establish how the tent is to be carried, e.g. in a rucksack or by car. The details at the bottom of this page will state its weight, a very important consideration if you have to walk any distance. These details will also state the height in the living area and the sleeping area. It may be essential that you can stand in the living area but not in the sleeping area, or it may be necessary to be able to stand wherever you are within the tent. The smaller lightweight tents do not provide for standing height but the headroom when sitting is very variable so care must be taken to choose the right height for your comfort.
Tents vary in size considerably. Consider how many people are to sleep in the tent. Do you require one large sleeping area or do you prefer separated sleeping compartments? The tents are usually labeled 2 person or 4 person etc. This is based on average size adults. Do check the actual measurements given at the bottom of this page to establish that you have adequate length and width to accommodate the people who are to use the tent. The living areas are shown with sizes marked. Consider what equipment i.e. tables and chairs, that you will wish to have within the tent and check that the sizes marked will in fact be adequate.
Camping is fun, and if you choose the right tent and the right size to accommodate you, you will enjoy many happy holidays in it. Remember to make sure you also have adequate pegs, a peg remover and a mallet! This will ensure a trouble free pitching of your chosen tent, and all you have to do then is relax and enjoy yourself.
